Lebanon is a country where history, daily life, and extraordinary cuisine meet in a way few places in the world can offer.
Still overlooked by mass tourism, it rewards curious travelers with ancient cities, breathtaking landscapes, vibrant street life, and one of the most celebrated cuisines of the Middle East.
This journey goes beyond classic sightseeing. It is an invitation to experience Lebanon through its flavors, local encounters, and unhurried moments — from Beirut’s street food and coastal towns to mountain viewpoints, Roman temples, and shared tables during hands-on Lebanese cooking masterclasses.
A week designed to be tasted, lived, and remembered.
Departure to Beirut
We begin our journey in Beirut, the vibrant capital of Lebanon. The morning starts with breakfast at a popular local spot, where fresh bread, mezze, and strong coffee allow us to experience the city’s everyday rhythm.
During our city walk, we discover Beirut’s most iconic landmarks: Raouché Rock (Pigeon Rock), the seaside Corniche promenade, Zaitunay Bay marina, and the historic city center with the Roman bath ruins and the Al-Amin Mosque.
In the evening, we take part in a hands-on Lebanese cooking masterclass in Beirut. Guided by a local chef, we prepare classic dishes — hummus, tabbouleh, falafel, shish taouk, and baklava — learning not only the recipes but also the stories, traditions, and daily rituals connected to Lebanese cuisine. We then sit down together to enjoy the meal we have prepared.
We head north to discover a different side of Lebanon. Our first stop is the spectacular Jeita Grotto — a natural wonder featuring impressive underground chambers and dramatic rock formations.
We then continue into the mountains to Annaya, home to the tomb of Saint Charbel. In this important spiritual site, there will be time for quiet reflection and a moment of calm.
In the afternoon, we take a walk through Batroun, a charming seaside town known for its Phoenician-era wall and small harbor.
In the evening, we arrive in Tripoli, where we enjoy dinner at a seaside restaurant before our overnight stay.
We begin the day with a morning boat ride along the coast, offering a completely different perspective of the area from the sea.
Afterwards, we explore Tripoli — its old souks, historic architecture, and vibrant everyday life, far from the usual tourist crowds. We will also taste a local specialty, maamoul, a traditional pastry for which the city is well known.
In the afternoon, we return to Beirut. On the way, we stop in Jounieh, where we take the cable car up to Harissa, one of Lebanon’s most iconic viewpoints and home to the statue of Our Lady of Lebanon. From above, we admire panoramic views of the Mediterranean, perfectly timed for sunset — a peaceful and symbolic moment of the journey.
We then return to Beirut for dinner at a local restaurant.
We head east to the fertile Bekaa Valley, where we visit one of the most impressive archaeological sites in the Middle East — Baalbek. We explore its monumental Roman temples, a powerful testament to the importance and grandeur of this region in antiquity.
Along the way, we stop to try a local specialty — sfiha, small savory pastries typical of the region.
Next, we visit Ksara Winery, where we discover Lebanon’s winemaking traditions during a guided tasting.
We return to Beirut in the late afternoon. There will be some free time, followed by dinner at a local restaurant.
After breakfast, we travel south to Tyre (Sour) — one of the most important cities of ancient Phoenicia and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
On site, we explore the impressive archaeological complex, including the monumental necropolis and one of the largest Roman hippodromes in the ancient world. It is a place where the legacy of the Phoenicians and the Roman Empire is still vividly present.
After sightseeing, there is time for a refreshing swim in the Mediterranean.
In the afternoon, we return to Beirut. In the evening, we take part in a Lebanese cooking masterclass. Cooking and sharing dinner together will be the perfect way to conclude a day that combines history, landscape, and flavor.
After breakfast, we all travel together to Byblos — one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.
Upon arrival, the day splits into two parallel options:
those who wish can spend a few hours at the beach, enjoying the Mediterranean atmosphere before lunch, while those who prefer sightseeing can independently explore Byblos — strolling through the historic center, visiting the Crusader castle, discovering Phoenician, Roman, and medieval ruins, and spending time at the old harbor and in the charming souks overlooking the sea.
After lunch, we regroup and return together to Beirut.
The afternoon is free — perfect for last-minute shopping, coffee, or a relaxed walk before the end of the journey.
In the evening, we gather for our final dinner in Lebanon.
