Kazakhstan. The Pearl of Central Asia

After breakfast, we leave Aktau and set off into the magical land of Mangystau on an off-road adventure — a world of surreal scenery and ancient secrets. We’ll discover the mysterious stone spheres of Torysh Valley, the legendary mountain Sherkala — known as the “Sphinx of Mangystau” — and the enchanting Valley of Castles.
As night falls, we’ll dine beneath the stars, in a tent — a true adventure far away from civilization.

Our day begins with a sunrise walk in the Valley of Castles, with an optional climb to the viewpoint. After breakfast, we break camp and continue our off-road journey across the vast, untouched steppes of Mangystau. We’ll stop for a picnic amid the open plains, then follow the legendary Bozzhyra Tract, famous for its “Martian Panorama” and “Dragon’s Ridge” — some of the most spectacular landscapes in Kazakhstan. We’ll camp again beneath the starry desert sky and enjoy dinner by the fire amid these otherworldly surroundings.

Our final day exploring Mangystau is a true feast for the senses. We’ll start at the Kyty formation, where sweeping views open over monumental cliffs and endless desert. Then we’ll visit the colorful Bozjyra Mountains and the striking “Tiramisu Canyon,” whose layered rocks resemble a delicious dessert. The day ends in a hotel in Aktau

After unforgettable days in the wild Mangystau region, it’s time to say goodbye to the desert. Morning transfer to the airport in Aktau and flight to Almaty — the vibrant capital of southern Kazakhstan. After checking into our hotel, there’s time to relax, followed by a shared dinner where we can exchange impressions and recharge for the adventures ahead.

We set off for one of Kazakhstan’s greatest natural wonders — the Charyn Canyon. We’ll pass through its most famous section, the Valley of Castles, where wind-sculpted rock towers and walls rise like a fantasy fortress. We’ll also visit the rugged Black Canyon, a stark contrast to the colorful formations of Charyn. In the evening, we’ll arrive in the mountain village of Saty, our peaceful base for the next adventures.

Today we dive into fairytale mountain scenery. We’ll visit two gems of the Kungey Alatau Range — Kolsai Lake, surrounded by forests and snow-capped peaks, and the magical Kaindy Lake, famous for its submerged forest rising straight from the water. You may relax by the lake, enjoy a short hike, or rent a paddleboat. In the afternoon, we return to Almaty and end the day with a shared dinner.

Today is all about light but inspiring exploration. We’ll start with a trip to Shymbulak, a mountain resort nestled in a beautiful valley at the foot of the Tian Shan peaks. A cable car ride will take us high above the city for fresh mountain air and spectacular views. In the afternoon, we’ll head to Kok Tobe, a green hill offering panoramic views over the whole of Almaty. Dinner will be in one of the cozy local restaurants serving the flavors of Central Asia.

Transfer to the airport in Almaty and flight back.
